Aqua Aerobics | Exercise based around aerobic moves but in water. Music is used to set the pace and rhythm of the movements. In the water the body becomes the piece of equipment. Circuits | Circuits is a fun fast fitness class. The class is based on a mixture of cardio exercises to improve strength and fitness levels. The class is a fast moving and well-motivated one. At each station you will be timed before moving to the next. | Improves body strength. Increases cardio levels. Improves muscle tone, strength, and stamina. |
Core Conditioning | Conditions the many muscles that stabilise the spine, pelvis and shoulder girdle. Hatha Yoga | Suitable for all levels. Hatha is a potent alignment-oriented practice that emphasises the forms and actions within yoga postures. Traditional postures are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as concentration and breath control. Kettlebell Circuits | A circuit-based class consisting of different ‘stations’ around the studio, giving you a varied experience every time. These circuit classes includes the use of kettlebells (a cannonball with a handle). | Big calorie burner that promises results. Line Dancing | A line dance is a choreographed dance class with a repeated sequence of steps. It is a great social class with a strong emphasis on fun. Pilates | Formed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s to rehabilitate prisoners of war. It is a conditioning for the whole body, which can be done in a relatively small space (mat). Pump | Pump ‘n’tone is a really fast way of shaping up and losing body fat. It is a strength toning and conditioning workout. Really simple moves to cover the whole body. Studio Cycle | Takes place on a stationary bike. As you pedal, motivational music is played as the instructor talks you through a virtual cycle ride outdoors e.g. “you are going up a hill now, you can see the top”. During the class the pace varies and the resistance also varies but you control the levels that you work at. | Burns up to 450 per calories per 45 minute class. Improves heart function. Super Circuits | Super Circuits is a fun fast fitness class. The class takes place in the main hall and is based on a mixture of cardio exercises to improve strength and fitness levels. The class is a fast moving and well-motivated. At each station you will be timed before moving to the next! Urban Funk | Highly motivational and energised dance class. No dance experience is required, come along and dance your way through the calories to the funkiest music around! Yoga | Yoga has a philosophical and spiritual focus, although yoga appears to be just a series of stretches, it’s actually a holistic practice steeped in ancient Indian culture that unites the mind, body and spirit through exercise, breath and meditation. Zumba | Created in Columbia, Zumba has taken the world by storm! It’s a choreographed dance class which is based around Latin and world music rhythms. This class mixes low-intensity with high-intensity moves to form an interval style class. | A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave the class. |
