About Lords Meadow
Lords Meadow Leisure Centre is a large facility in a lovely setting with welcoming staff and a friendly atmosphere. The two light and attractive swimming pools are warm, clean and easy to access with an ultra violet light treatment system, allowing the chlorine levels to be maintained at a very low level. The air conditioned fitness suite boasts a range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment, a free weights area and a team of fitness experts on hand. Refurbished and extended in 2018, the bright and open gym boasts the latest state of the art equipment and offers an expanding range of functional equipment such as battle ropes, kettle-bells and plyometric vaults. Mid Devon Leisure facilities will always operate with a manager on duty to deal with day to day functions, direct the team, and to be a point of contact with its visitors. The operational teams are supported by the strategic management team, who work across all sites in a specialist role. As part of Mid Devon District Council, Mid Devon Leisure is committed to maintain our facilities at the highest standards, and work closely with colleagues in Property Services for maintenance and repair matters. Mid Devon District Council continuously invests in facilities, equipment and staff development, to ensure the leisure service is provided to the community to a premium standard, at local authority prices. All sites are fitted with Solar Photovoltaic panels to generate electricity reducing operational costs and carbon emissions.
